Associate Professor Alessandro Zagami

Alessandro Zagami is a Conjoint Associate Professor in the UNSW Department of Medicine and Prince of Wales Hospital Clinical School, and Senior Staff Specialist in Neurology at the Institute of Neurological Sciences PoW Hospital.
He has a major sub specialty interest in headache, especially migraine, and has published on clinical aspects of headache and in basic science aspects of migraine pathophysiology including sensory transmission and neuropharmacology of the trigeminovascular system.
Professor Zagami is a founding member of the Australian Headache Society and a member of the International Headache Society. Associate Professor Zagami sits on the Management Board of Neuroscience Trials Australia as a leading clinical investigator and the Headache Society representative on the Australian Association of Neurologists Liaison Committee.
