Dr Karyn Boundy

Dr Karyn Boundy is a consultant neurologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, South Australia. She has a professional interest in geriatric medicine and in late 2005 accepted the chair of the Australasian Consortium of Centres for Clinical Cognitive Research (AC4R) after serving as treasurer. Dr Boundy is a member of the Australian Association of Neurologists, Australian Society for Geriatric Medicine, the European Neurological Society and International Psychogeriatric Association.
Dr Karyn Boundy started the QEH memory unit and began clinical trials in Alzheinmer's disease and other cognitive conditions some 10 years ago and over that time has built up a successful facility. Her research interests include genetics and cognitive problems in Multiple Sclerosis, Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) and Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging as diagnostic and post-treatment patient management tools.
She is extensively involved in multinational clinical drugs trials for a range of neurological products.
