Professor Robert Helme
MB BS (Hons), PhD, FRACP, FFPMANZCA

Professor Helme is in practice as a Neurologist at Epworth Medical Centre and the Western Hospital in Melbourne where he is head of the Neuroscience Unit. He trained in clinical neurology at the Massachusetts General Hospital returning to the Department of Medicine at Monash University before becoming Professor of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Melbourne and Director of the National Ageing Research Institute. His main research interests lie in pain measurement and management of older people.
